The RESTUBE AUTOMATIC 180 Bundle combines the AUTOMATIC 180 with a throw bag containing an 18 m rescue line. The AUTOMATIC 180 is an automatically activated emergency flotation device specifically engineered for professional water rescue. Once deployed, it provides 180N of buoyancy and safe initial aid for up to four individuals – while the integrated line enables controlled retrieval to shore, a vessel, or even across ice. A carabiner connection allows for fast setup, making it a compact, high-capacity system for professional rescue.

The AUTOMATIC 180 Bundle is developed for emergency services such as the fire brigade, police and organizations like the German Live Saving Society, DLRG. With this bundle, rescue units are optimally equipped for emergencies – even from a safe distance, whether deploying from the shore, or a boat, a helicopter, or a drone.

Due to the integrated 18 m rescue line, it is classified as a throwable emergency flotation device in accordance with the Lake Constance Shipping Regulations and provides a compact, space-saving alternative to the traditional lifebuoy.

Il sistema deve essere ispezionato almeno una volta all'anno e dopo ogni utilizzo. Automatic Activation. Safe from Distance.

In an emergency, every second counts. The AUTOMATIC 180 is a force multiplier in rescue operations: it activates automatically upon water contact via a cellulose tablet. Powered by a water activator and a durable 38 g stainless steel CO₂ cartridge, the system ensures reliable deployment in critical moments. After use, it can be rearmed in just a few steps by replacing both components.

Compact Size. Big Impact.

The compact throw bag is designed for minimal pack size, ensuring it fits even in the smallest rescue boats and can also be carried on the belt using system straps. Its coned shape with a wide opening allows for easy and fast repacking after deployment.

High Visibility and flexible Setup.

Three reinforced attachment straps on the emergency flotation device allow for the secure addition of extra gear, providing flexibility for diverse rescue scenarios. Multiple reflective strips ensure clear visibility and orientation on the water — even in darkness, fog, or adverse conditions. The throw bag also features signal colors and reflective elements, ensuring the entire system remains highly visible throughout the rescue.

Versatile Deployment & Safe Handling.

Whether deployed from a helicopter, drone, or emergency vessel, the system enables safe rescue from a distance — even in challenging environments. The included drybag protects the emergency flotation device from unintended water contact during rescue operations, such as an emergency vessel, ensuring it remains fully operational until the moment of deployment.

At present, RESTUBE does not provide own deployment systems for UAV platforms.
Given the diversity of drone models and the rapid evolution of UAV technology, rescue teams typically implement customized deployment solutions. These are often developed in close collaboration with drone manufacturers and system integrators to ensure operational safety and compatibility.

Can RESTUBE AUTOMATIC 180 be used as an alternative to traditional lifebuoys?

Since RESTUBE AUTOMATIC 180 provides at least 100 N of buoyancy and, when combined with a floating rescue line of at least 10 meters, it is recognized as an approved rescue throw device in certain regions of Germany and can be used as an alternative to a traditional lifebuoy. Please ensure to verify the applicable rules and regulations in your country.
