The RESTUBE AUTOMATIC 180 is an automatically activated rescue throw device that has been specially developed for professional use in water rescue. It is ideal for emergency services such as the fire brigade, police, DLRG and other water rescue organisations. Its automatic release function upon contact with water provides fast and safe first aid for up to four people – even from a safe distance, whether from the shore, a boat, a helicopter or a drone.

With RESTUBE AUTOMATIC 180, emergency services are optimally prepared for emergencies and can save lives without putting themselves in danger.

In combination with the 15-metre-long, buoyant rescue line from AUTOMATIC 180, it is approved as a rescue throwing device in accordance with the Lake Constance Shipping Regulations and offers a compact, space-saving alternative to the classic lifebuoy.

El sistema debe inspeccionarse al menos una vez al año y después de cada uso. La inspección puede realizarla un empleado de la organización con conocimientos técnicos, siguiendo las instrucciones de uso y sin herramientas especiales. With 180 N of buoyancy, the system provides immediate flotation support for up to four individuals – ideal for multi-person rescue operations. Automatically activates on water contact ensuring a fast and reliable first response when every second counts.

The system activates automatically upon water contact via a cellulose tablet. Reliable and fast deployment is ensured by two main components: a water activator and a 38g stainless steel CO₂ cartridge. After use, the system can be quickly rearmed by replacing both components.

Secure Hold.

Seven integrated grab loops provide reliable hold points – ideal for maintaining contact in offshore conditions or swiftwater environments. They also assist rescue personnel in recovering individuals from the water – even under dynamic operational conditions.

In its closed state, the system measures just 29 cm and weighs only 560 g – ideal for gear setups with limited space, where every gram and centimeter matters. Perfect for use in emergency vehicles, boats, helicopters, and backpacks.

What is the difference between RESTUBE AUTOMATIC 75 and AUTOMATIC 180?

RESTUBE AUTOMATIC 75 is designed for single-person rescue.It provides 75 N of buoyancy and is compact, lightweight, and easy to deploy – from shore, boat, via drone or helicopter. Ideal for rapid response scenarios involving a single person requiring immediate flotation. RESTUBE AUTOMATIC 180 is specifically developed for multi-person rescue. With 180 N of buoyancy, the system provides immediate flotation support for up to four individuals – ideal for multi-person rescue operations. Both systems are robust, reusable, and activate automatically upon contact with water. They enable first responders to deliver buoyancy from a safe distance – fast and without physical contact. Are there any dedicated drop mechanisms for AUTOMATIC 75 or AUTOMATIC 180?

At present, RESTUBE does not provide own deployment systems for UAV platforms.
Given the diversity of drone models and the rapid evolution of UAV technology, rescue teams typically implement customized deployment solutions. These are often developed in close collaboration with drone manufacturers and system integrators to ensure operational safety and compatibility.

¿Cómo puedo utilizar RESTUBE AUTOMATIC para proteger tu dron?

Cada vez más propietarios de drones protegen sus dispositivos en caso de caída al agua. El objetivo es poder recuperar el dron. Por un lado, las baterías no deben dejarse en el agua y, por otro, los datos registrados son valiosos y las compañías de seguros no suelen pagar si el dron ya no se puede encontrar. Si tu dron cae al agua, un AUTOMATIC puede evitar que se hunda, lo que permite recuperarlo. AUTOMATIC es una boya que se infla en cuestión de segundos al entrar en contacto con el agua mediante un cartucho de CO2. La flotabilidad inmediata de la boya es de 7,5 kg. Esto significa que los drones con un peso de despegue de hasta 6,5 kg pueden mantenerse fácilmente a flote con AUTOMATIC. Los drones más pesados pueden equiparse con varios AUTOMATICS para aumentar la flotabilidad en consecuencia.

Yes, RESTUBE rescue devices are designed for easy self-maintenance.
Maintenance includes visual inspection, drying after use, and replacing consumable components after activation. A detailed user manual is included with each device and also available online.

What are the recommended maintenance and replacement intervals?

RESTUBE recommends a visual inspection of the system prior to each use.
For professional applications a comprehensive functional check should be performed at least once per year. Following deployment, the device must be rearmed to ensure operational readiness.
