EXTREME Starter Bundle

The products seems good though hasn't been used to save anyone yet but what annoys me is they offer to remove plastic from the oceans but seemingly only in return for a review (see photo) - what sort of ethics is that...?

I use this product for a few weeks for kitesurfing. Once assembled on the harness it´s always with me and will provide extra floatation when it comes to any critical situation. I am especially convinced by the design and quality of the product. It is especially helpful to be able to help someone else with the buoy in case of emergency.

1. Packsack ist extrem eng. Das ist nich nur mühsam, sondern man befürchtet beim Packen ständig, dass etwas kaputt geht.
2. Gedruckte Anleitung ist ein Witz, winzig klein gedruckt. Auch das PDF beantwortet nicht bzw. schlecht die Frage wie die Leine um die gefaltete Boje gewickelt werden soll. Erst das Video hat geholfen (aber das muss man erst finden, der QR Code war da keine Hilfe).
3. Warum muss ich vor dem Gebrauch die Boje auspacken, Kartusche reindrehen und (mühsam, fehleranfällig) wieder einpacken? Bei meiner Automatik Schwimmweste (auch Versand) musste ich das nicht...

Für mich als (DLRG) Rettungsschwimmer ist meine Boje ein stetiger Begleiter im offenen Wasser, im Dienst und auch privat.

Die Boje hatte im Verlauf unseres Dienstes schon ein Leben gerettet: der Kiter hatte seine Boje gezogen. So sind wir auf seine missliche Lage durch die gelbe Boje aufmerksam gemacht worden und wir wussten: hier ist Eile geboten.

Die Boje "Active" ist für meinen Geschmackt sehr eng gepackt, hier hätten einige, wenige Zentimeter mehr Material beim Packen mehr Luxus gebracht. Der Splint kann bei eingebauter Patrone kaum alle Schlaufen erreichen. Dies fiel bereits direkt nach dem Kauf auf, die Boje war noch nicht mit Luft in Gebrauch gewesen. Wenn dann noch etwas Restluft drin ist, sollte es noch enger werden.
Situation wurde bereits bei restube reklamiert.

Sonst kann ich nur jeden Wassersportler auf offenem Wasser ermutigen, eine Boje zu seiner eigenen Sicherheit mit sich zu führen.

This is my second Restube Extreme and I bought it for our family vacations to Outer Banks..The Restube Extreme brings peace of mind when the waves and rip currents churn up the surf....We love to swim and body surf in rough seas and having a Restube on our hip brings a level of safety to our adventurous swims!!

High quality product. Exactly what I was looking for!
The box came with just 1 CO2 cartridge. Contacted customer service and they said they will send the other 1. Excellent customer service!

Item comes folded up nicely like in the pictures, but you have to open it in order to install the CO2 cartridge. After installing the CO2 cartridge the device does not fit back in the pack as nicely. The manual inflate valve is in the wrong location in my opinion… It gets in the way of the CO2 cartridge laying straight.. It is an extremely tight fit attempting to wrap this thing back into its enclosure with the CO2 cartridge because of this misplacement of the valve. The fact that it is such a tight fit, and I had to really force it to get back in makes me lose a little confidence in the device. obviously, I want everything to be perfect and this thing is not..

Alles super. Viel Auftrieb. Sehr zuverlässige Funktion. Leider etwas fummlig beim Einpacken - zumal man nach jeder Runde im Salzwasser auspacken, säubern und trocknen sollte.
@Restube: Denk mal darüber ob 1cm in Breite und Länge der Packtasche vielleicht deutlich mehr Nutzwert als Nachteil bringen würde

I am in the water a lot - kiting, surfing and swimming. I occasionally get leg cramps which would leave me in a very precarious position especially if alone so this device is perfect and compact enough not to be a burden. If I'm going more than 50 m away from my boat or out the back in the surf I always wear it.

I am glad to have these for myself and my son for the cold Northern California oceans. We love to be in the waves, but the currents can be unpredictable. This is an unobtrusive extra layer of improvised flotation if needed.

I wish I'd had a chance to use this before this review, so my review is based on the order, shipping and initial product receipt. Had a minor snafu with shipping out part of our order, but after sending an email noting this, there was instantly a new order "shipped" email and the missing item was in hand a few days later. Everything looks well made and exactly as described. Exceited to try this out.

Nice and small to not get in the way. Deploys with minimal effort.
However a pain in the ass to pack all back in and yes that’s following exact directions.
Would greatly benefit if they would just make the pouch a touch bigger. I and others re packed and even pulled YouTube videos to help but still a massive pain. The videos show it with complete ease but it is far from it. Perhaps maybe I just got a pouch that’s too small from a manufacturing issue….who knows.
That being said, I still believe this device could save your life and is a wise choice to have on you no matter how great of a swimmer.

arrivato nei tempi previsti, aspetto come descritto e visibile in foto e nei video, materiale sembra di buona fattura utilizzo con cartuccia co2 facile ed efficace, difficile solo rimettere tutto dentro.

Für ihn etwas geniales, da er sehr viel im Meer am Foilenist.

This thing is *absolutely hellish* to repack. My first time repacking it, it took easily two hours to figure out how to squeeze it back in.

I don't get why it needs to be this hard.

Well constructed, good quality. I did have some trouble getting it back in the bag once the cylinder was connected though.

ik think it's useful it feels like decent quality and easy to use. I had some doubts whether it is easy clipped on while windsurfing and not standing in the way. Haven't got the opportunity to try so can't tell that yet.

Greate security device, you can put it through your windsurfing harness straps and you fortgot you wear it.

Suggest you make the bag just a little bigger to make easier to clean tube and recharge.

On a recent trip to the Outer Banks N.C. we had a very rough surf with strong rip currents...Although my adult sons and I love bodysurfing the waves, one of my sons got caught in a rip tide which pushed him out 25 yds from us..It was terrifying to watch and I felt unprepared to rescue him if needed (he was able to make it back in). I bought the restube extreme so I would never again feel that sense of helplessness....I am returning to the beach this week and will have the restube strapped to my waist...Hope to never have to deploy it...I also participate in triathlons and may use it as a buoy for my practice swims.....

Keep in mind, it's just a support, not a life-saving device like a real vest!
Maybe the word 'extreme' leads to false understanding.
For me, it's just one part of security, but it can't grant you full security.

Habe das Teil bis jetzt noch nicht benutzt. Es ist aber sehr handlich und darum werde ich es immer dabei haben, ob ich jetzt mit dem SUP unterwegs bin oder ganz einfach nur im Wasser schwimme. Wie schnell kommt man, insbesondere in etwas kälterem Wasser im offenen Meer, physisch an seine Grenzen und dagegen möchte ich jederzeit gewappnet sein.
