July 6th, 2025 – 2.5 kilometers of open water. 900 brave swimmers. One unforgettable moment.
When hundreds of swimmers dive into the Baltic Sea at Altefähr and set their sights on Stralsund, you know it’s time: The Sundschwimmen – Germany’s oldest open-water swimming event – is celebrating its 60th anniversary.
And we at RESTUBE are incredibly proud to be part of this milestone.
Why the Sundschwimmen Matters to Us
We love the water. We love that moment when you leave everything behind – when you glide, float, or fight your way forward. That mix of freedom and challenge is what makes open water swimming so special.
But we also know: open water is unpredictable. Currents, exhaustion, disorientation – safety in open water isn’t optional. It’s essential for real freedom. That’s what RESTUBE is all about.
Safety That Doesn’t Hold You Back
For this year’s anniversary swim, we’re offering our RESTUBE safety buoy to all participants who want it. It’s compact, lightweight, and stays out of the way – until you need it. One pull, and the yellow buoy inflates in seconds. You can hold on to it, rest, and stay visible in the water.
It’s not about fear. It’s about readiness. So you can swim with more confidence – especially at a powerful event like Sundschwimmen.
A Symbol of Responsibility and Community
Being part of this year’s event means a lot to us. Because the Sundschwimmen is about more than speed or endurance. It’s about connection, tradition – and making sure everyone gets safely back to shore.
Whether it’s your first crossing or your fifteenth, we’re here. Visible. Discreet. Always within reach.
