Do I really need a Safety Buoy if I’m an experienced surfer?

Even experienced surfers or professionals can find themselves in critical situations. Hold-down situations (being held underwater for an extended time) or rip currents can affect any surfer. In such moments, even the best fitness helps only to a limited extent.
As soon as you resurface or notice the current pulling you outward, one strong pull is enough: the CO₂ cartridge inflates the buoyancy chamber within seconds. This gives you immediate buoyancy, helping you catch your breath, regain orientation, and remain more visible in the surf.
