A certified life jacket will reliably turn you onto your back – even if you are unconscious. A buoyancy aid provides flotation but is not designed for this situation. For any waters where you are alone or in rougher conditions, a certified life jacket is the right choice.

It depends on your activity. The RESTUBE Lifejacket SAIL is designed for sailing – with an integrated harness system for safety line attachment, CE-certified to ISO 12402-3, ISO 12402-6 & ISO 12401. The RESTUBE Lifejacket BOAT is ideal for kayaking, canoeing, and motorboating – CE-certified to ISO 12402-3 & ISO 12402-6. Both deliver 165N of buoyancy – more than the 150N class requires.

Legal requirements vary by water and country. On sailing boats, offshore passages, and many inland waters, wearing a life jacket is mandatory or strongly recommended. Our life jackets are CE-certified to ISO 12402-3 & ISO 12402-6 and meet legal requirements for all waters.

150N is the buoyancy class defined by ISO 12402-3 – designed for open sea, rough conditions, and heavy clothing.
