OSTSEEMAN Glücksburg x RESTUBE – Joining Forces for More Safety from 2026 Onward
Anyone who’s ever competed at the OSTSEEMAN Glücksburg knows: this race is no joke! Every year, the Baltic Sea shows a different face – sometimes calm and sparkling, sometimes rough and demanding. This season once again made it crystal clear: those who swim here experience the full power of the elements. Wind, waves, and currents pushed the athletes to their limits – and once again reminded everyone how essential safety and trust are in open water.
This year’s OSTSEEMAN Triathlon in Glücksburg was another powerful showcase of how strong, courageous, and passionate the open-water community truly is. That’s exactly what makes open-water swimming so special: the raw nature, the challenge, and that incomparable feeling of freedom.
And this is where safety comes in – because true freedom in the water only exists when you feel safe. Without the German Life Saving Association, Glücksburg lifeguards, this event wouldn’t even be possible. At every race, they’re out there, keeping a close eye on wind, waves, and currents, and stepping in whenever needed. Their dedication and experience allow all participants to fully focus on their race.
