Deborah Wouters

Professional SUP athlete from Belgium

Exceptional athlete with extreme projects

Deborah is high-ranked pro SUP athlete actively competing but also dealing with a rare blood disease. As treatment, she receives donor blood every week. One of the side effects of this treatment are the heavy unexpected sugar drops (hypoglycemia's) that are dangerous during water sports and increase the risk of drowning. Another side effect is the low energy level. Despite this physical limitation, giving up is not in her dictionary and she lives by the motto "I can, I want and I will do it!".

"Everytime I'm on the water I wear my RESTUBE Safety Buoy. The risk of drowning with my health condition is higher but with my Safety Buoy I feel more safe and I can push my limits. Everyone can drown, that's why I always say "Safety first!". The safety buoy is so small and compact, you hardly notice it - until you need it. Just one pull on the trigger and it inflates, giving you precious time to get to safety or call for help. Everyone in and on the water should have a RESTUBE buoy!"
