After the OSTSEEMAN Triathlon and the Heidelberg Triathlon, the Sparda City Münster Triathlon is the next major triathlon event where RESTUBE will take part as the official Safety Partner in 2026. We are very excited about this collaboration and about working together to provide optimal safety for athletes — without compromising performance or competitive spirit.
The Sparda City Münster Triathlon will take place on June 21, 2026, and is one of the most established and popular triathlon events in Germany. With various race distances ranging from sprint/“Volksdistanz” to Olympic distance, the event attracts thousands of athletes each year to the historic harbor city of Münster along the Aasee promenade.
Why RESTUBE Plays an Important Role at the Münster Triathlon
Triathlon is a fascinating sport — but the open-water swim segment in particular comes with challenges. Longer race durations and high-speed efforts can quickly lead to critical situations, especially when participants are pushing themselves to their limits.
This is where RESTUBE comes in. As an innovative safety system, it provides athletes with additional, immediate buoyancy directly on the body, which can be activated at any time. This not only increases the safety of participants but also reduces pressure on rescue services such as water rescue teams and lifeguard organizations. Competition safety is therefore systematically enhanced — without limiting performance or competitive spirit. On the contrary, athletes can perform at their full potential with genuine peace of mind.
After being extensively tested and approved for use in competitive sports by the World Triathlon Committee, more and more event organizers are recognizing the advantages of this safety technology and are integrating it into their races as a collaborative safety measure. This is helping to establish a new level of safety within the triathlon world.
What Does This Mean Specifically for the Münster Triathlon?
At the Sparda City Münster Triathlon, athletes traditionally swim in Münster’s harbor basin before heading onto fast cycling and running courses. Especially in the confined harbor area and the dynamic race environment, an additional safety solution like the RESTUBE Safety Buoy can make a noticeable difference — for both participants and the entire organizing team.
Thanks to the safety partnership, the following benefit:
✔︎ Athletes – through increased safety and reduced mental stress
✔︎ Organizers & volunteers – through a reduced need for emergency interventions in the water
✔︎ Spectators & fans – through an even more professional race experience

Thinking Ahead Together: Safety in Sport
RESTUBE stands for a new era of safety in triathlon racing: performance-oriented, modern, and fully suitable for both everyday training and competition. The entire team is looking forward to playing an important and visible role in athlete support together with the Sparda City Münster Triathlon.
We are convinced: With RESTUBE at their side, triathletes can unlock their full potential — because they know their safety is not left to chance.
