Description

With the PFD - the smallest and lightest CE-certified swimming aid in its class on the market - you will experience safety and unique comfort. This makes water fun! The PFD is ideal wherever a certified swimming aid is mandatory. In Switzerland and on Lake Constance, for example, it is compulsory to wear it from 300 metres from the shore. Always remember to check the local regulations!

The smallest and lightest PFD

The size and weight of your PFD play a major role when it comes to freedom of movement. The unique PFD from RESTUBE is therefore only about the size of a smartphone and 315 grams light. Maximum comfort, minimal restriction – for pure enjoyment on the water!

CE certified

The PFD is approved according to DIN EN ISO 12402-5 and DIN EN ISO 12402-6. You can wear it wherever a swimming aid of this standard is required by law, especially in the Lake Constance area and in Switzerland.

Square Buoyancy Aid

You release the PFD with a controlled pull on the trigger and the square buoyancy chamber inflates within seconds. This is connected directly to the belt, so all you have to do is pull the neck strap over your head. Now you're safe, ready to wait for help, carefree.

Bewegungsfreiheit beim Paddeln

Da ich gerne am Bodensee mit dem Stand Up Paddle weite Strecken zurück lege, benötige ich eine CE zertifizierte Schwimmhilfe. Anders als eine Schwimmweste habe ich mit der Restube PFD deutlich mehr Bewegungsfreiheit.

Great addition for paddling safety

After i had the normal restube in use for years, it's now time to advance to the PFD if i go to regions where a PFD is required or to give it to a friend, who goes paddleboarding with me.

Fingers crossed, that i wil never really need the PFD.

I just couldn't figure out how to use the leg belt correctly since this isn't covered in the manual.

Wie in der Gebrauchsanweisung beschrieben, ist die Lebensdauer deiner Sicherheitsboje bei Einhaltung der Pflege- und Wartungshinweise auf fünf Jahre ab Kauf ausgelegt. Die Qualität unserer Sicherheitsbojen ist sehr hoch, dennoch können äußere Einflüsse wie UV-Licht, Salzwasser und die allgemeine Materialalterung das textile Material über die Jahre beanspruchen.

Da dein RESTUBE Classic aus dem Jahr 2020 stammt, empfehlen wir dir daher, es auszutauschen.

Wir entwickeln unsere Sicherheitsbojen kontinuierlich weiter. Ältere Produkte und ihre Nutzungshistorie sind dabei besonders für unsere Entwicklungsabteilung sehr wertvoll. Who is PFD for?

The PFD is a CE-certified 50N buoyancy aid and is therefore suitable for use wherever it is required (e.g. on Lake Constance or in Switzerland for stand-up paddling).

The PFD is the smallest and lightest in its class, perfect for those who want full freedom of movement.

The pfd by RESTUBE is also recommended for stand-up paddlers as the leash can be attached directly and comfortably to the belt.

Is the Safety Buoy a replacement for a life jacket?

No, it is not a substitute. The RESTUBE safety system is the most versatile system for more safety in the water. Anyone who needs an approved swimming aid in vest form, for example for stand-up paddling in Switzerland, can use the PFD. In any case, always follow the local rules and regulations. Safety concerns us all!

Can I use the RESTUBE Safety Buoy more than once?

Yes, after replacing the CO2 CARTRIDGE, the Safety Buoy is immediately ready for use again. The sales package contains the safety buoy incl. an original RESTUBE CO2 CARTRIDGE that must be screwed in before use. After use, the safety buoy is very easy to prepare for use again: Deflate, insert a new cartridge, fold the buoyancy chamber according to the printed instructions, and stow the whole thing in the pouch! ATTENTION: Only original RESTUBE CO2 CARTRIDGES are 1.) 100% quality tested, 2.) seawater resistant, 3.) level tested and 4.) the necessary release force is matched to the release. The cartridges comply with the standard for life jackets DIN EN ISO 12402-7. If other cartridges are used, it cannot be guaranteed that the safety buoy will fill without problems in an emergency and the trigger may be damaged.

How many times can a CO2 cartridge be used?

A CO2 cartridge can be used to trigger the Safety Buoy once. Afterwards, the empty CO2 cartridge must be removed, and a new original RESTUBE CO2 cartridge must be inserted.

You can also blow up the Safety Buoy manually using the mouth valve. This is a practical option if you are using the Safety Buoy as a swim buoy, or for snorkeling.
